Advanced Micro Devices, commonly known as AMD has unveiled new desktop processors based on the Zen 5 architecture. Dubbed the Ryzen 9000Granite Ridge. Here in this article, we'll get into the specs, features, and expected price of the AMD Ryzen 9000 Series Processors in Nepal.

Zen 5 Cores

Thanks to the new Zen 5 architecture, the Ryzen 9000 Series chips come with up to 12 high-performance CPU cores accompanied by 24 threads and 50% more-on-chip L3 cache memory over the last-generation Zen 4 siblings. AMD claims an exceptional performance for 3D modeling, design, and animations via super-fast single-threaded and multi-threaded performance. 

New X870 nd X870E Motherboards

With new processors, AMD has also brought new motherboards— X870 and X870E. These new things come with 44 total PCle lanes and direct-to-processor PCle 5.0 NVMe connectivity. The latter has a different formation with 24 PCle 5.0 lanes alongside 16 dedicated lanes for graphics. It is said to provide twice the bandwidth speed, thanks to PCe 5.0 direct-to-processor storage and graphics care being active simultaneously. You also get support for PCIe® 5.0, DDR5, USB4, and WiFi 7 support.

7 new processors

Under the Ryzen 9000 Granite Ridge Series, we have 7 processors: Ryzen 9 9950X/X3D, Ryzen 9 9900X/X3D, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Ryzen 7 9700X, and Ryzen 5 9600X. Obviously, the Ryzen 9 9950X/X3D is the top dog here with 170W of TDP and 5.7GHz of boost clock frequency. As always, AMD has compared it to the competition, the Core i9-14900K. It is 56% faster in productivity applications while the gaming side is just 4 to 23% better.
