Apple has some amazing shows on its Apple TV platform, but the problem is they were limited to running either on iOS or Android/ Google TV. This was somewhat of a disappointment to Android smartphones and tablet users. But the company has finally done justice to these users as well. Yes! We now have Apple TV for Android phones and tablets. Let's talk about this in detail.

      Apple TV on Android

Well, after five years of keeping Apple TV+ locked up on iPhones and iPads, Apple has finally decided to let Android users in on the fun. If your Android device is running Android 10 or later, you're good to go! You can stream all those exclusive Apple TV+ hits like Ted Lasso, Severance, Silo, and Ghosted. Plus, there’s a 7-day free trial, so you can binge-watch without guilt (for a week, anyway).

Moreover, the app's got some features like "Continue Watching" (so you don’t have to remember where you left off) and "Watchlist" (to keep track of all the stuff you will watch... eventually). It also streams smoothly over Wi-Fi or cellular, and you can even download shows to watch offline. This move from Apple to include Android devices will likely boost the company's services revenue.

      Pricing and Availability

To access the Apple TV app, you can either sign in with your existing Apple TV+ account or create one within the app. It costs you $9.99 per month for Apple TV+. If you're a soccer fan, you can grab the MLS Season Pass for $12.99 per month or $79 for the full season. The app is available on the Google Play Store. Though it currently holds a 1.9-star rating, this mostly comes from old reviews left by Android users who were frustrated by the lack of mobile support. On the downside, Android users won’t be able to buy or rent movies directly from the app, like iOS folks can. But hey, at least we get the TV shows, right?
