Ayaneo recently announced the 'Pocket Vert', a vertical handheld built for retro gaming fans. The company teased it during a live showcase and later shared more details on its blog. Ayaneo Pocket Vert Overview
Display and Design
The Pocket Vert takes a different route from Ayaneo’s usual lineup. It goes...vertical, almost like someone revived an old-school handheld but with modern materials. It has a 3.5-inch LTPS LCD panel with a 1600×1440 resolution, so you're looking at sharp retro-style visuals. The whole thing sits inside a CNC-machined metal body with a single glass panel on the front. You get three colours: Nightfall Black, Moonlight White, and Lava Red, and the dimensions stay compact at 86.4 × 143 × 20.5 mm.

Buttons, Controls, and Touch Inputs
The buttons look clean since Ayaneo skipped printed labels. Everything uses a transparent, crystal-like finish, including the diamond-cut shoulder buttons. What stands out is the hidden dual-mode smart touchpad under the front glass. It works as a virtual left stick, right stick, dual-stick setup, or even a mouse. Similarly, the MagicSwitch button handles quick functions with a long press.
Software and Audio
It runs Ayaneo’s in-house apps like AyaSpace and AyaHome. You can tweak keys, spoof devices, or use the updated Free Feel key mapping 1.5. And jumping onto Hype, there’s also AI translation baked in. Stereo dual speakers sit on the device, and Ayaneo packs a 6000mAh battery inside.
Anyway, Ayaneo hasn’t said anything about the chipset, RAM, storage, or the launch timeline. Well, basically, we’re working with half the picture here. All things considered, we don’t know how powerful this guy actually is.
