Huawei Nova Flip S launched with new colors with 32MP front camera

Huawei just unveiled the Nova Flip S in China. Display and Design

Starting with the display, here you’re getting a 2.14-inch OLED cover display with 480 × 480 pixels and 318 PPI. Inside, there’s a 6.94-inch LTPO OLED main display with FHD+ resolution (2690 × 1136 pixels), 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, 419 PPI, and a 300 Hz touch sampling rate.

The design itself hasn’t changed much from the previous Nova Flip, as the Nova Flip S keeps the clamshell foldable design. Huawei expanded the color options with Feather Black, White, Azure Blue, Green, Soft Pink, and Star Black. You can also choose between glass and vegan leather backs, both framed in aluminum. The phone weighs about 199 g for glass and 195 g for leather, with dimensions of 169.77 × 75.4 × 6.88 mm open and 87.76 × 75.4 × 15.08 mm folded. It’s splash-resistant with an IPX4 rating.

Performance and Software

Inside, there’s an unnamed Kirin 8 series chipset, rumored to be the Kirin 8030, aired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.. It boots HarmonyOS 5.1, which brings Huawei’s latest interface and features.

Camera and Battery

On the back, you get a 50MP main camera (RYYB, f/1.9) and an 8MP ultrawide (f/2.2). For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera (f/2.2). Meanwhile, video recording supports 4K at 30fps and 720p at 480fps slow-motion with AIS stabilization and up to 10x digital zoom.

The foldable packs a 4,400 mAh battery with 66W wired Huawei SuperCharge, which can charge the phone fully in roughly 40 minutes.
