OnePlus has only just taken the wraps off the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R globally recently, but the internet is already looking ahead. Fresh leaks about the OnePlus 16 have started appearing on Weibo. In this update, we'll discuss the rumored specs and features of the OnePlus 16.

200Hz+ Display
OnePlus has always prioritized smooth screens, and over the years, it has steadily increased refresh rates. From 120Hz to 144Hz, and now 165Hz on the OnePlus 15 series, the brand clearly sees fluid visuals as a core feature. As if the 165Hz refresh rate wasn't enough for the OnePlus 15, the Chinese company will push the level even further as per DCS, the famous Chinese tipster. If the rumors are true, we'll be saying an ultra-high refresh rate starting from 200Hz. Yes, you read that right: reports claim OnePlus is conducting an experiment to strike a balance between resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate.
A massive 200MP camera may be on the way
Well, display upgrades might not be the only big leap. On the camera side, leaks suggest OnePlus could finally adopt a 200-megapixel primary sensor for its 2026 flagship lineup, with the OnePlus 16 likely a candidate.
The phone is expected to feature a triple-camera setup, possibly similar to the upcoming Oppo Find N6. That could mean a 200MP primary camera paired with two 50MP sensors, likely covering ultra-wide and telephoto duties. If OnePlus gets image processing right, this could be a significant step forward for its photography. Covering up the blunder they made by degrading the optics of the OnePlus 15.
Flagship performance and a big battery
Under the hood, the OnePlus 16 will run on Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, which is expected to launch around September next year. Pairing such a powerful chip with a 200Hz-class display would naturally demand a large battery.
