Camera and Videos

The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 features a 1/1.3-inch 8K sensor co-engineered with Leica and an f/2.6 aperture Leica SUMMARIT lens with a 157° wide field of view. It captures up to 8K at 30 fps video, 4K at 120 fps slow-motion, and 4K at 60 fps Active HDR, while PureVideo mode enhances low-light shooting up to 4K at 60 fps with AI noise reduction. 

For photos, it supports up to 50MP stills and offers Leica Color Profiles, I-Log color grading, FlowState Stabilization, and in-camera 360° Horizon Lock. It also supports 4K Clarity Zoom, MegaView FOV, FreeFrame Video, and Timelapses, making it a versatile action camera for creators and travelers.

Design and Display

The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 features a compact, rugged action camera design weighing 182 grams. It includes an integrated, removable Wind Guard for clearer audio capture, a replaceable Lens Guard, and native waterproofing up to 39 feet (12 meters) without a case, or up to 197 feet (60 meters) with the Dive Case. 

On the back, it features a 2.5-inch flip touchscreen with 329 PPI and up to 900-nit peak brightness. The larger flip display makes framing shots, previewing footage, and adjusting settings effortless outdoors under direct sunlight.

Performance and Storage

The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 utilizes a Dual AI Chip processing setup consisting of a Pro Imaging Chip for image processing and noise reduction alongside a 5nm AI Chip for system performance. This dual-chip configuration delivers double the computing power of its predecessor to handle advanced AI features and high-bitrate 8K video. 

For storage, the Ace Pro 2 uses external microSD cards with support for up to 1TB capacity. It also features USB-C 3.0 wired connectivity alongside dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless control and fast media transfers.

Battery and Others

The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 packs an 1,800mAh battery that offers up to 180 minutes of runtime in Endurance Mode. It supports 30W PD fast charging, reaching 80% charge in 18 minutes and a full charge in 47 minutes, alongside reverse charging capabilities to power external devices. It also uses a magnetic mounting system for rapid accessory switching. 

For additional features, the Ace Pro 2 includes AI Highlights Assistant, Auto Editing, Pre-Recording up to 120 seconds, Road Mode dashcam recording, and Timecode synchronization for multi-camera setups. It also supports motorcycle Bluetooth helmet headsets with dual-track audio, Voice Control 2.0, Gesture Control, and GPS Stats Dashboard overlays.
