Design, display, and performance

Starting with the build, the MSI Vector 16 HX AI looks like a spaceship and also comes in a single “Cosmos Gray” color. For the screen, we are greeted by the gorgeous 16:10 16-inch IPS panel with a resolution of QHD+ (2560×1600) pixels. The panel comes with flagship features such as a fast 240Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage.

MSI Vector 16 HX AI is powered by the Core Ultra 7 255HX processor, which consists of 20 cores as well as 20 threads and has a max turbo frequency of 5.2 GHz. With this processor, you also get 16GB of DDR5 6400MHz memory in an 8GB x 2 configuration. While for primary storage, we get a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD along with an extra M.2 slot that is NVMe PCIe Gen 5 supported. For graphics, it is paired with NVIDIA’s RTX 5070Ti GPU with 8GB VRAM.

Ports and rest

The I/O ports on this device include two Thunderbolt 5 ports with support for DisplayPort and power delivery 3.1, two Type-A USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one SD Card Reader, and lastly an HDMI 2.1 port.

Additionally, we get two speakers at 2W each and an FHD webcam. The gaming beast also supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for connectivity. The battery is also a 90Wh cell that is charged via a 330W AC adapter.
