Design and display

The Tecno Spark 50 Pro comes with a 7.8mm slim body and a more durable build, featuring an IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. It also gets SGS-certified drop resistance, making it better suited for everyday use where accidental drops and splashes are a concern.

On the front, the phone features a large 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The panel uses a 720 × 1576 HD+ resolution, which keeps the display smooth but is a noticeable step down in sharpness compared to the higher-resolution AMOLED panels found on some competitors.

Performance and software

Powering the Tecno Spark 50 Pro is the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate, built on a 6nm process. The chipset is designed for everyday tasks, multitasking, social media, streaming, and casual gaming, rather than demanding flagship-level performance.

The phone comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with support for microSD expansion. It also supports Memory Fusion, allowing part of the internal storage to be used as virtual RAM. On the software side, the Spark 50 Pro runs Android 16 with HiOS 16, bringing Tecno's latest software features and AI tools.

Camera and battery

The Tecno Spark 50 Pro features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture for everyday photography. The camera setup is fairly simple, as there is no dedicated ultrawide or telephoto lens. For selfies and video calls, it has an 8MP front camera.

The phone packs a large 6,000mAh battery, which should easily handle a full day of regular use. It also supports 60W fast charging, while bypass charging helps reduce battery strain during extended gaming sessions.
