Realme just unveiled the standard Realme 15, and it's packing a lot of the same screen and battery tech as the 15 Pro (which we have discussed in a separate article) but with a different chip and camera setup. It's clearly aimed at users who want solid performance without splurging on the Pro's faster Snapdragon. Realme 15 Overview
Display and Design
You're getting the same 6.8-inch OLED screen as the Pro, rocking a 144Hz refresh rate and an eye-popping 6500 nits peak brightness. That's blazing brightness that matches the Pro and a huge jump from last year's models. It also shares the same 3840Hz PWM dimming for smooth visuals with less eye strain.
At 7.7mm thin, it's equally slim and carries the same IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance plus MIL-STD-810H certification for durability. So you get ruggedness that's usually reserved for pricier phones.
Performance and Software
Here's where it diverges. The Realme 15 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300+, an octa-core chip with a mix of Cortex-A78 and A55 cores. It's a capable performer for day-to-day tasks and casual gaming but won't match the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4's muscle found in the 15 Pro. You get Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0 here too, so the software experience is identical between the two, with smooth animations and updated features.
Cameras and Features
The dual rear camera setup packs a 50MP wide sensor with OIS, just like the Pro, but pairs it with an 8MP ultrawide instead of the Pro's 50MP ultrawide. The front camera is still a solid 50MP shooter that can record 4K video.
Video capabilities are similar with gyro-EIS and multiple frame rate options. The Pro's ultrawide and AI features add some polish, but for most users, the standard 15's camera will deliver dependable shots.
