With Samsung preparing to launch its XR headset dubbed "Project Moohan" later this year, rumors surrounding Samsung’s first smart glasses have started to appear as well. Earlier on, leaks suggested that Samsung is working on two pairs of AI glasses named "Project Haean" and "Project Jinju".
These smart glasses, which will be competing with the ones from Apple and Meta, are expected to arrive next year.
What will Samsung smart glasses offer?
Samsung’s debut into smart glasses will focus on simplicity and usability. Along with that, this pair of smart glasses is rumored to be similar in design to the Ray-Ban Meta glasses. Like the Meta glasses, it will come with a built-in microphone, speakers, and a camera. There will also be no built-in display as seen in the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.
Software and AI features
And like Samsung's XR headset, this smart glass will run on the Android XR platform as well. But unlike the smart glass that Google demoed in its I/O keynote back in May this year, the one from Samsung will seemingly be limited in functionality since this is a display-less model.

That said, these smart glasses will of course come with an AI assistant, which will allow the user to make calls, send texts, capture content, and control media playback.
Other AI features could be similar to those of Project Moohan. And if that's the case, then we might be in for some luck, as early reviews stated that the AI experience in it was one of a kind. More details regarding the Galaxy AI for these smart glasses will hit the surface as we approach their release.

When is Samsung smart glass launching?
A report from Korea suggested that Samsung's smart glass will make its debut in late 2026. The company might be planning to coincide its launch with Apple's own no-display smart glasses.
