Sony is finally launching its first-ever 200MP mobile camera sensor, and as of now, it is making big waves before its official debut. Some early leaks suggest the company is preparing to challenge Samsung’s dominance in the 200MP smartphone sensor segment.
Now, let’s jump into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Sony LYT-910, including its leaked specifications and availability.
Sony LYT-910 Overview
Design and Sensor Details

The Sony LYT-910 is a 200MP image sensor made for flagship smartphones. It reportedly uses a 1/1.11-inch sensor, which is larger than Samsung’s 1/1.3-inch 200MP ISOCELL sensor found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. For context, Samsung first introduced a 200MP sensor in the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. Right now, its main 200MP sensors includes: ISOCELL HP1 ( 1/1.22-inch), ISOCELL HP2 (1/1.4-inch )(Samsung’s top-end 200MP sensor) and ISOCELL HPB(1/1.4-inch), which is used in Vivo X300 Pro telephoto
Compared to these, Sony’s 1/1.11-inch LYT-910 is smaller than Samsung’s largest, but larger than some other Samsung 200MP sensors, hence allowing better light capture than Samsung’s 1/1.3-inch HP series. But Samsung itslef is unlikely to use the LYT-910 in its phones, since it produces its own 200MP sensors, e.g., the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to use the ISOCELL HP2.

Performance and Image Quality
The leak also mentions that the sensor has a dynamic range exceeding 100 dB, which suggests that stronger HDR capability is coming in the upcoming Sony sensor-fused cameras. It can output both 200MP full-resolution shots and 50MP pixel-binned images for low-light scenarios.
The LYT-910 supports 2x and 4x in-sensor lossless zoom, and for video, it’s said to handle 8K at 30fps with HDR and 4K at 120fps
