Ultima offers affordable qualitative products while also focusing highly on user experience. They have taken another leap in the latter regard and become the first Nepali brand to have an in-house app for wearable audio devices. That being said, Ultima has launched “Prime 1.0” with proprietary app support! Let's discuss further on these earbuds along with the Ultima Link app in this article.

One of the main highlights of the Ultima Prime 1.0 is that it comes with a companion app, named the “Ultima Link”. While having such an app isn't unheard of, this is the first time a Nepali company has offered such a feature. This effectively makes Ultima Prime 1.0 the first-ever Nepali earbuds with in-house app support. And in a true Nepali fashion, Ultima Link offers Nepali as a language option alongside English.

Apart from that, the Ultima Link offers a handful of pro features — the major one being audio customisation. You get two preset EQ modes — Signature and Balanced. On top of that, you can tailor and add more sound profiles which suit your taste better. You can also customise the earbuds' touch control and tap into the “Game Mode” through the app. When in this mode, the latency on the Ultima Prime 1.0 drops as low as 40ms. Then there is the “Find my device” feature which will trigger a loud sound for you to locate your earbud if you ever misplace it. Lastly, customers can also seek the brand's support easily through the app! With this, Ultima Link adds more premium features to Prime 1.0 earbuds and opens the way for the brand's future audio accessories to do the same as well.

Design and Audio

Now talking of the earbuds, Ultima Prime 1.0 comes in an in-ear fitting with a dual-tone finish. The front of the earbuds' stem has a reflective layering while the rest of the body has a glossy finish. This aesthetic carries on to the charging case too with a shiny chrome design on the lid and the standard shade on the rest of the body. This gives the Ultima Prime 1.0 a slight resemblance to the Xiaomi Buds 5 on the outside. Other than that, these buds are IPX5-rated offering good resistance to sweat and water splashes. They ship in two colour options: Space Black and Star Gold.

Moving on to the audio, the Ultima Prime 1.0 is equipped with 13mm titanium drivers for audio delivery. In addition, these buds have two microphones on top of the main receiver dedicated just to noise cancellation. As such, these earbuds have a six-mic setup offering both active as well as environmental noise cancellation. Users can enjoy up to 30dB of unwanted sound negation along with Transparency and Adaptive modes.

Connectivity and Battery

These earbuds come with Bluetooth v5.4, offering a stable connection with your smartphones and computers. Furthermore, they are capable of the “Dual Pairing” feature allowing you to connect the Ultima Prime 1.0 to two devices simultaneously. They are compatible with both Android and iOS platforms.
