Infinix Hot 70 debuts with a unique color-changing back panel

Expanding its budget-friendly lineup, Infinix has officially launched the Infinix Hot 70 as the successor to the Hot 60 series. The new phone features a color-changing rear panel that reacts to temperature changes, along with a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset, a 120Hz IPS display, and a large 6,000mAh battery. In this article, I’ll discuss everything you need to know about the Infinix Hot 70, including its features, specifications, availability, and expected price in Nepal. 

Infinix Hot 70 Overview

Design and Display

Starting with the design, the Infinix Hot 70 features a flat frame with a glossy rear panel and a large rectangular camera module on the top-left corner. The main highlight of the phone is its thermo-reactive back panel, which, as the name suggests, changes from a darker to a brighter orange shade depending on the temperature. However, this feature is limited to the “Thermo Orange” variant.

The phone measures 7.49 mm in thickness and weighs around 195g, and also comes with an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance. It is available in multiple color options, including Green Texture, Quiet Violet, Dive Blue, Silver Dancer, Night Pulse, and Thermo Orange.

Moving on to the display, the Infinix Hot 70 sports a large 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720 × 1576 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering a smooth scrolling experience. The screen also supports up to 700 nits of High Brightness Mode (HBM) for decent outdoor visibility.

Additionally, the phone comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification for better eye comfort during extended use.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Infinix Hot 70 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate SoC, built on a 6nm node. It is paired with the Mali-G57 GPU for casual gaming and multitasking. The phone is configured with flexible storage options, offering up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. 

On the software side, the Infinix Hot 70 ships with XOS 16 based on Android 16 straight out of the box. Here, you can expect three major upgrades and five years of security patches for the long run. 

Camera and Battery

For optics, the Infinix Hot 70 keeps things simple with a dual rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.85 aperture and autofocus, along with an auxiliary lens. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The phone also includes a dual-LED flash for better selfies and video calls in low-light conditions, and a “Halo Lighting” for notifications.

In terms of battery, the Infinix Hot 70 packs a large 6,000mAh battery paired with 45W wired charging. It supports 10W reverse charging for powering other devices, along with bypass charging.
