Realme C83 5G Launched in India with 7000mAh Battery and Dimensity 6300

Realme just added another phone to its C-series, and this time the headline is a 7,000mAh battery in a budget package. Let's get into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Realme C83 5G, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Realme C83 5G Overview

Design and Display

The C83 5G comes in Blooming Purple and Sprouting Green, two options that lean into the typical Realme C-series vibe, which it is usually known for. The phone is 8.4mm thick and weighs 212g, which is on the heavier side, but that's almost expected when you're stuffing a massive cell in there. Similarly, the C83 5G is IP64-rated. Similarly, there's a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a single bottom-firing speaker. You also get a microSD slot that goes up to 2TB. 

It features a 6.8-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution of 1570x720. The refresh rate goes up to 144Hz, and peak brightness is rated at 900 nits. Moreover, touch sampling rate maxes out at 180Hz. Now, HD+ on a 6.8-inch screen is a trade-off that shows up in text sharpness and fine detail if you look closely. It's not ideal but the 144Hz refresh rate, though, makes scrolling feel noticeably fluid for the price.

Performance

The Dimensity 6300 is a 6nm chip from MediaTek with an 8-core CPU and an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It has also been a popular choice for many budget smartphones lately. Similarly, it's paired with either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and there's also Dynamic RAM support that lets the phone borrow up to 12GB of storage as virtual RAM. Meanwhile, storage here is an eMMC 5.1, which is the slower standard compared to UFS. Again, a cost-related decision, but it comes in two options: 64GB and 128GB. The phone runs Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 out of the box, which is a solid software base for a budget device.

Camera

The device features a single 13MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and autofocus. That's it on the back. No ultrawide or depth sensor, just the one lens with an LED flash. It shoots up to 1080p at 30fps and supports digital zoom up to 10x. There's also dual-view video, slow-mo at 720p/120fps, and Google Lens integration. Up front, you are getting a 5MP shooter that handles selfies.

Battery and Charging

The 7,000mAh battery is the main reason this phone exists. At this capacity, you're looking at two full days of use. And even for heavier users, getting through a full day comfortably should be easy.
