Samsung Galaxy A57 5G Price in Nepal

Samsung Nepal debuted two of its latest midrange phones in Nepal:  the Galaxy A57 5G and the cheaper Galaxy A37 5G. The A57 5G is the most premium phone in Samsung's “Galaxy A” lineup for 2026, and is now available for prebooking in Nepal.

      Samsung Galaxy A57 5G Overview

      Design and Display

Anyway—in terms of design—the Galaxy A57 is slimmer and lighter than the Galaxy A56. This is actually the most tangible difference you are going to find in this phone. It measures just 6.9mm thick and weighs only 179g, compared to how the Galaxy A56 was 7.4mm thick and weighed around 198g. While these difference doesn't seem much on the spec sheet, you can definitely feel the difference.

With its slim and light profile, you get a premium in-hand feel, and it is easier to carry around in your pocket. The Galaxy A57 has the same glass front and back with an aluminium frame, and has an IP68 rating, making it completely dust and water-sealed. You can choose between three color options for this phone: Lilac, Icyblue, and Navy.

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G Color options

Coming to the front, the Galaxy A57 has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel delivering accurate colors, solid HDR10+ playback, and well-balanced white tones as well. Similarly, you get a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate here (but no LTPO), an FHD+ resolution with 385 PPI of pixel density, Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, and so on. The bezels remain similar to before as well, which is one area Samsung could have tightened up in this segment.

      Performance

Moving on to the performance, the Galaxy A57 is powered by the Exynos 1680 processor, replacing the A56's Exynos 1580. The phone has also upgraded its GPU, moving from Xclipse 540 to Xclips 550, which should result in a better gaming experience overall.

Because while the A56’s Exynos 1580 handled daily tasks perfectly fine, gaming at a consistent, reasonable frame rate was always a hiccup. So with the upgraded GPU on the Exynos 1680 + a 13% larger vapor chamber onboard, that ceiling has now risen much higher. Similarly, Samsung has paired it with 8/12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of built-in storage. That said, its 512GB variant is not available in Nepal right now.

On the software side, it runs on One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box. And in case you didn't know, One UI 8.5 brings a bunch of visual changes from One UI 8, alongside some neat Galaxy AI features. You get “Voice Transcription” in the Voice Recorder app for calls and voicemails, “AI Select” for quickly extracting text or generating content, and improved search features as well. Samsung has promised 6 years of major OS upgrades and security updates for this phone, as always.

      Camera

      Samsung Galaxy A57 5G Camera

In terms of cameras, the triple rear camera hardware on the Galaxy A57 5G is unchanged from its predecessor. It comes with the same 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS support, next to a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro lens.

The front camera stays the same at 12MP as well. This means the A57 carries forward both the strengths and the weaknesses of the A56's camera system. In good light, the 50MP main produces sharp, color-accurate images with decent dynamic range. The ultrawide is decent, but then again, it shows its limitations in challenging light, with shadow crushing and dynamic range issues that were quite persistent before.

And like with the Galaxy A56 before it, we are sorely missing a dedicated telephoto camera on Samsung's top-end “Galaxy A” series phone. Samsung does give you the option to crop from the 50MP main camera for 2x zoom shots and beyond, which works but doesn't produce the sharpness of a dedicated telephoto. For a phone competing against the Nothing Phone 4a, Vivo V60, and the Honor 400 Pro, the lack of any optical zoom capability at this price is really disappointing.

      Battery

Getting to battery, the Galaxy A57 5G comes with the same setup we’ve seen for years—a 5,000mAh cell with 45W wired charging. For context, Chinese competitors at this price are shipping 6,000 to 6,500mAh batteries, with some upcoming phones pushing even further, up to 10,000mAh and beyond.
