Tecno has finally launched a new phone in Nepal, and this time around, it is the new Spark 50 4G. The phone comes with minor improvements, including a larger battery and a rugged build. So, yeah, in this article, I will cover everything you need to know about the Techno Spaker 50 4G, including its specs, features, and price in Nepal.

      Tecno Spark 50 4G Overview

      Design and Display

Starting with the design, the most notable aspect of this device is its rear camera module. Tecno has adopted a design language similar to that of the newer iPhone 17 Pro series. The device features a decent plastic frame and back, measuring 8.2mm thick. Other than this, you also get IP64 dust and water resistance, wet and oily hand-touch support, and SGS 1.8m drop resistance. In terms of color options, it is available in Halo Blue, Titanium Grey, Ink Black, Aurora Purple, and Bloom Pink.

On the display side, the phone comes with a 6.78-inch IPS LCD that runs at a fast 120Hz refresh rate. The problem, though, is with the resolution. You are only getting an HD+ at 720 x 1600 pixels, which gives you roughly 259 ppi. And on a 6.78-inch panel, it's definitely not going to be a very pleasant experience, as one might expect. If you're coming from anything with a Full HD panel, you will notice the difference pretty easily. On the other hand, the phone comes with 800-nit peak brightness, which is workable outdoors, but in 2026, it's on the low end and not the kind that handles direct sunlight very well.

      Performance and Memory

The Tecno Spark 50 4G is powered by the same MediaTek Helio G81 chip we saw on the Spark 40 4G, a 6nm chip paired with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. You can get 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. This chip is fine for everyday calling, YouTube, Instagram, and light gaming, but anything heavier than PUBG at medium settings will give you an awful experience.

      Camera

There's a single 50MP rear camera with an f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash, and that's it. It omits ultrawide, or even something as basic as a macro camera. But, at this price, those cameras are often functionally almost useless. And in good lighting, the 50MP sensor delivers good shots, and the PDAF at least helps with focus speed, but in low light, it predictably falls apart.

On the software side, we have FlashSnap and LivePhoto options available. The front is an 8MP shooter that takes basic selfies and video calls well enough.

The phone comes with a massive 7000 mAh battery. In real-world usage, the phone can easily last two days with moderate use. It also supports 18W fast wired charging.
