Acer has launched a new Swift Blade 14, and its biggest selling point is something you can feel before even turning it on. The laptop weighs just 799 grams, making it an incredibly light option in the 14-inch laptop category. Despite its featherweight design, Acer has still managed to fit a high-resolution OLED display, the latest Intel processor, and a decent-sized battery inside. In this article, I will discuss this laptop in detail, including the expected Acer Swift Blade 14 price in Nepal, specifications, and availability. 

Acer Swift Blade 14 Overview

Design and Display

Starting off, the first thing you notice about the Acer Swift Blade 14 is how light it is. At just 799 grams, it is considerably easier to carry than most 14-inch laptops, which should make a difference for students, office users, and frequent travelers. Acer uses a magnesium-aluminum alloy for the Keyboard deck and carbon fiber for the top lid and bottom base to keep the weight down. The laptop is also just 12.9mm thick, so it should easily fit into a backpack without taking up much space.

Moving to the display, Acer gives you three different options depending on your budget and preference. The top-end option gets a 14-inch WQXGA OLED panel with a 2880 x 1800 resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 400 nits brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. Besides, there is also a 14-inch WUXGA OLED display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 300 nits of brightness, which still gives you the benefits of an OLED panel but at a lower resolution. Meanwhile, the WUXGA IPS LCD option offers the same 1920 x 1200 resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate and up to 300 nits of brightness. 

So, if you are looking for a more budget-friendly option, the LCD variant makes more sense, while the 2.8K OLED model is the better pick for a premium viewing experience. All three options come with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 90% screen-to-body ratio.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the Swift Blade 14 comes with Intel's latest 3-series “Wildcat Lake” processor options, giving you flexibility depending on performance. It includes Intel Core 7 350 as the top-end configuration, followed by the Intel Core 5 320, Core 5 315, and Core 3 304, respectively. So, if you require better performance, you could go with Core 7 350, while you can go with other configuration processors for a budget option.

Meanwhile, the laptop uses integrated Intel Graphics. This means it can comfortably perform everyday tasks rather than heavy gaming or demanding creative workloads. For regular work such as browsing, document editing, video calls, and multitasking, the available processors should be capable enough, with the higher-end variants offering more headroom for heavier workloads.

Acer has paired the Swift Blade 14's ultra-light design with a 50Wh battery, which feels like a practical balance for a laptop that weighs under 800 grams. However, Acer hasn't revealed the official battery-life figure yet, so real-world endurance will have to be assessed once the laptop becomes available.

For connectivity, the laptop includes three USB-C ports, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack, while wireless connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. Acer also includes a backlit keyboard, an FHD 2MP webcam, dual microphones, and stereo speakers.

Acer Swift Blade 14 Price in Nepal and Availability

As for availability, Acer is keeping things fairly limited for now.
