Dell Pro 14 and Pro 14 Plus launched in Nepal with both Intel and AMD CPUs!

Dell has launched two new midrange laptops in its revamped 14 Pro series. It is basically a "Latitude Series" laptop, but with Dell's new confusing naming scheme. So in this article, we will discuss all the features and specifications, including the official price of the Dell Pro 14 series in Nepal.

Dell Pro 14 and Pro 14 Plus Overview

Design and display

Starting with the design, the Dell Pro 14 series seems like your typical entry-level business laptop. It's got a metallic "Platinum Silver" finish and a textured "Magnetite" finish. Dell also says this laptop has been MIL-STD tested for durability, while both the Pro 14 and Pro 14 plus are pretty lightweight at just 1.35 kg.

About the display, both variants feature a basic 14-inch FHD+ IPS panel with up to 300 nits of brightness and a 45% NTSC color gamut, which is decent for casual video watching or even some color tasks. This panel also has an anti-glare finish and features an FHD camera on top.

Performance

For the performance, the Dell Pro 14 series comes with the refreshed Intel "Raptor Lake" Series 1 and Ryzen AI 200 Series CPUs. Currently in Nepal, we have two different variants available to purchase: the Core Ultra 5 120U, which comes with 10 cores, 12 threads, with a maximum boost clock of 5 GHz, and the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 230, which comes with 6 cores, 12 threads, with a boost clock of 4.9 GHz. Both the CPUs are quite capable for basic computing, but dont expect them to run heavy games and apps.

For GPUs, we have to rely on integrated GPUs, which can handle basic to low-level gaming. Talking about the memory, it's available up to 32 of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of storage.

Battery and connectivity

For the battery, here we get either a 45 or 55 Wh battery, which Dell says should last for up to 10.3 hours. And when you need to charge it, the Dell Pro 14 series uses a 65W AC adapter.

For wireless connectivity, the Dell 14 Pro supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. It also has plenty of ports, highlighted by one Thunderbolt 4, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, a couple of USB-A, one HDMI 2.1, and one RJ45 Ethernet connection. There is also a wedge-shaped lock slot to safeguard your device from quick theft attempts.
