Nothing Phone (4b) coming soon to Nepal with a striking design

Nothing has officially launched a new B-series to its portfolio, the Phone 4b. The new smartphone features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC, and more. In this article, I will discuss everything about the Nothing Phone (4b), including its specifications, availability, and expected price in Nepal.

Nothing Phone (4b) Overview

Design and Display

Starting with the design, the Nothing Phone (4b) moves from its signature transparent rear casing to an opaque, matte-finish back. It has a wide camera island housing two rear cameras and a single “Glyp Bar” light strip for notifications, charging progress, and personalized alerts. 

The phone measures 8.6 mm thick and weighs 210 gm. It has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Adding to the durability, Nothing claims it can be immersed up to 25 cm in water for up to 20 minutes. The device is available in Black, Blue, and White color options. 

Moving on to the display, the Nothing Phone (4b) sports a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2344 pixels, offering clear and sharp text. It supports a120Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to 1000Hz touch sampling rate, delivering a snappy experience. 

The screen can reach up to 2000 nits of peak brightness, maintaining clear visibility even under direct sunlight. 

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Nothing Phone (4b) is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, built on a 4nm node to handle everyday multitasking and gaming efficiently. The phone is configured with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage for your apps and other files. Here, the 256GB variant is only for India for now. 

On the software side, the Nothing Phone (4b) runs on NothingOS 4.1 based on Android 16, offering a clean UI experience. Here, you get three years of major updates and up to six years of security patches, ensuring extended use.

Camera and Battery

For optics, the Nothing Phone (4b) has a dual rear-camera setup, where you get a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, OIS, and EIS to capture brighter and clearer shots—especially in low-light conditions. Alongside it is an 8MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture. It can record videos up to 4k@ 30fps. On the front, the phone features a 16MP camera with an f/3.2 aperture for selfies and video calls. 

In terms of battery, the Nothing Phone (4b) packs a massive 6,000mAh battery for all-day use; however, this capacity is exclusive to the Indian market. Global models feature a slightly smaller 5,200mAh cell. Both variants are paired with 33W wired charging and support 7.5W reverse wired charging.

Nothing Phone (4b) is launched in India with a starting price of INR 34,999 for the base model, 8/128GB, whereas the 8/256GB variant is available for INR 38,999. When it gets launched here, one can expect the Nothing Phone (4b) to be around NPR 55,999 for the base variant.
