The features of this smart band look promising—but is it enough to beat the competition?

Xiaomi introduced its new Smart Band 10 Pro, the direct successor to the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro, along with its first Clip-On Earbuds in China. With this new band, you can see a noticeable upgrade in brightness, health tracking features, and iOS integration compared to its predecessor. Xiaomi is also offering plenty of design options, which will be discussed later. In this article, I will discuss the new Xiaomi Band 10 Pro in detail, including its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro Overview
Design and display
Starting with the design, the Xiaomi Band 10 Pro features a square display encased in an aluminum casing, measuring 9.7mm thick and weighing around 21.6 grams without a strap. But you can get the exclusive ceramic frame for the White color variant of this band, which costs slightly more than the other standard bands and weighs around 28.7 grams. Alongside the casing variation, Xiaomi is also offering various Strap options such as “Silicone”, “Leather”, and “Milanese”. The overall color options for this smart band are “Dark Black”, “Silver”, “Sakura Pink”, “Champagne Gold”, and the ceramic version, "Pure White".

On the front, this wearable features a 1.74-inch AMOLED display with narrow symmetrical bezels. It also has a 60Hz refresh rate, which is quite sufficient for everyday use. And the peak brightness of this band reaches up to 2000 nits, making it suitable for outdoor use. It can also automatically adjust its brightness based on the surroundings. You can also use the Xiaomi Band 10 Pro while swimming, as it features 5 ATM water resistance.
Health and Smart Features
For health tracking, the Xiaomi Band 10 Pro uses a new dual-light and dual-PD heart rate sensor for accurate measurements of various health metrics, including sleep tracking, blood oxygen saturation, continuous heart rate, and more. The highlight of this smart band is a new heart rate variability (HRV) monitoring feature. This new feature will let the software analyze the fatigue and recovery we mostly see in wearables in the higher price range.

Additionally, this band has 150+ sports modes, covering everything from running and hiking to yoga. Alongside this, it has built-in GNSS that supports five independent positioning systems, so you can map out outdoor runs or rides without carrying your phone.
Performance and Gaming Mode
On the software side, Xiaomi Band 10 Pro runs on the updated, lightweight HyperOS 3, specifically tailored for the wearable chip. Alongside this, Xiaomi claims to offer a Xiaomi Super Island for Xiaomi phones running HyperOS 3 or later, similar to Apple's Dynamic Island, so you no longer need to open the dedicated app to monitor real-time status and music playback.

We have seen that Xiaomi is trying to be more flexible with the Apple ecosystem in its latest launch device. So with this band, Xiaomi also said it can directly connect to Apple Health for syncing, support dual-device notification mirroring, and even let you trigger band functions using Siri Shortcuts. But the pre-downloaded 20+ apps and third-party apps in this band are exclusive to Android devices.

Furthermore, it has a dedicated gaming mode that tracks your heart rate and stress while you play video games. Along with this, Xiaomi said this fitness tracker can also send haptic respawn alerts and minor in-game progress metrics when paired with the new Xiaomi 17 series phones directly on the band's screen, so you can glance at your wrist during loading screens.
Apart from this, some of these gaming features might become available for other devices through future updates. While non-Xiaomi phones will not have on-screen game progress tracking. And once your gaming session ends, this band is said to generate a summary report.
