Asus ROG Strix G16 AMD (2025) launched in Nepal with RTX 50-Series GPU!

Nagmani International, the official distributor of Asus products in Nepal, has brought the first AMD-based ROG Strix G16 G614M (2025) in Nepal. And just so you know, the company launched its Intel model a while ago already. So, in this article, we will discuss the features, specifications, and official price in Nepal of Asus ROG Strix G16 AMD (2025).

Design and display

So, starting off with the design, the Strix G16 aligns with the typical ROG design. Which is to say that it has a RGB lightstrip at the bottom of the laptop, alongside some striking "ROG" brandings. In terms of weight, this 16-inch laptop weighs 2.5 kg, although we're a little disappointed to see that Asus hasn't managed to include a Numpad here. Instead, its touchpad can double has a Numpad as you can see from the image below.

And here comes my favorite part of this laptop, the display. The Strix G16 AMD (2025) doesn't have an OLED panel, but its 16-inch "ROG Nebula Display" is gorgeous to look at. It has all the flagship-level features such as 100% DCI-P3 colors, a smooth 240Hz refresh rate, a fast 3ms response time, and Dolby Vision HDR support.

Performance and memory

In terms of performance, this version of ROG Strix G16 (2025) has the all-new AMD Ryzen 9000 Series. One comes with a 9 9955HX processor inside. This high-end CPU features 16 "Zen 5" cores and 32 threads, a peak clock speed of 5.4 GHz, and a default 55W TDP. The second option is the Ryzen 9 8940HX CPU, which features 16 cores and 32 threads and can reach a boost clock of up to 5.3 GHz.  Since this is an "HX" class processor, you can overclock it as well.

And backing up that monster of a processor is NVIDIA's RTX 5060 graphics with 8GB of GDDR7 memory and up to 115W of TGP. In case you didn't know, the new RTX 50 series GPU brings a lot of new AI features, including DLSS 4, multi-frame generation, and more. For memory, it includes 16GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5600MHz and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
