This watch targets the audience seeking a budget-friendly option with a premium look.

Honor recently launched its budget-friendly Watch X5i in China, targeting users looking for an affordable smartwatch with a premium look. Unlike the Honor Watch X5, the Watch X5i runs on a lightweight RTOS instead of Honor’s proprietary OS. And the good news is that the Honor Watch X5i is coming soon to Nepal. So yeah, in this article I will cover everything, including its expected price, specifications, features, and availability.
Honor Watch X5i Overview
Design and Display
Starting with the design, Honor has opted for a reinforced polymer fiber frame for the Honor Watch X5i to keep the device's weight down to around 28 grams. You can see that this device is a 9% thicker than the Honor Watch X5. Visually, you might feel it's very similar to the Apple Watch at first glance. Further, you get an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for day-to-day use, including light rain and workouts.

Display-wise, you get a rectangular, curved-edge AMOLED panel with a resolution of 450 x 390, which is enough to read an entire email or WhatsApp notification on the Honor Watch X5i. Along with this, you get a 60Hz refresh rate, which is huge for a smartwatch and makes scrolling feel smoother. You also get 180 watch faces on this device, which helps avoid cluttering the icons on the small screen, and this number may increase in the future.
Performance and Health tracking
Under the hood, you get a lightweight RTOS instead of the other smartwatch SoCs, such as the Snapdragon Gen series SoC you saw in the Oppo Watch X3. Though this is a trade-off, you can experience longer battery life than with other watches in day-to-day use due to the RTOS. In terms of health, you get the usual features like heart rate, SpO2, stress and sleep monitoring, and menstrual cycle tracking. Other than that, you also get 109 sports modes on this device that people rarely use.

Moving on to the battery, you get a 420mAh Li-Po battery that the company claims to last up to 3 weeks on a single charge with casual use. Similarly, you can use it for around a week with the always-on display option. Regarding connectivity, this watch comes with Bluetooth 5.4. Other than that, you get two-way Bluetooth calling with this watch. With this feature, you can now easily place and receive calls without a phone in an emergency.
