Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus Overview
Camera and Battery
Starting off, the optics of the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus feature the same 50 MP f/1.8 Sony LYTIA 710 sensor, the 50 MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera, and the 50 MP f/2.5 periscope telephoto lens with 3.5X optical zoom as in the Motorola Edge 70 Pro. Here, both the primary and telephoto lenses have OIS, so it should help deliver really good portraits and low-light shots from this phone.

At the front, Motorola provides the same 50MP selfie shooter, but with a slightly better f/1.9 aperture for better selfies and video calls. You can capture 4K video at 30 fps from both camera modules, while the back camera also supports 4K at 60 and 120 fps.
Similarly, Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus packs a 6500mAh silicone-carbon battery with 90W wired charging support for quick top-ups. Apart from this, it also supports 15W wireless, 10W reverse wireless, and 5W reverse wired charging support too. According to Motorola, this battery can last more than a day on casual use.
Design and Display
In terms of design, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus retains a slim profile and a lightweight build at 190 grams, while offering military-grade ruggedness and IP69/IP68 rating against dust and water. It uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection to help prevent screen scratches, while the back panel design of this phone is similar to that of its predecessors.
Build-wise, this phone has a plastic frame and a PANTONE-curated back panel in “PANTONE Chicory Coffee”, “PANTONE Stormy Sea”, and “PANTONE Zinfandel” finishes— with a different thickness. Here, the Slik-inspired and Twill-inspired finishes are the thinnest of the three—at 7.19 mm—while the FSC-certified wood finish is the thickest, at 7.34mm.

Up front, this phone has a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED panel with Super HD (2772 x 1272) resolution to deliver crisp and sharp visuals on the screen. Edge 70 Pro Plus also supports HDR10+, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and 10-bit color depth, reproducing more than 1 billion colors for an immersive viewing experience. It also has a peak brightness of 5200 nits, which is a plus for HDR content, and outdoor visibility is quite decent at 1800 nits in HBM mode.
Besides this, it has a 144 Hz refresh rate that should handle scrolling and gameplay on the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus pretty well. It also has up to 360Hz touch sampling, providing faster responsiveness and smoother tracking when you drag your finger across the screen. In addition, it comes with water-touch technology that keeps the screen responsive even when your hand is wet. Along with that, you also get SGS certification for both Blue light and motion blur technologies in the Edge 70 Pro Plus, so your eyes remain protected during extended use.

Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus uses the upgraded MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme (4nm) chipset, which features an all-big-core architecture for top-tier speed. This chip is said to deliver slightly better performance than the Dimensity 8500 Ultra (4nm) chip found in phones like the POCO X8 Pro and Xiaomi 17T. As a result, the Edge 70 Pro Plus should be capable of handling games like Genshin Impact with ease.

Memory-wise, the Edge 70 Pro Plus offers 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, which Motorola said can be virtually boosted, and 256GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. For software, this phone runs on Android 16 configured with Motorola's clean user interface. It also promises up to 3 major OS upgrades and 5 years of security patches, which should provide a solid software support experience for long-term users.
Moving on, it supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity. It also comes with stereo speakers, and Motorola claims it supports Dolby Atmos alongside Hi-Res wireless audio for an immersive listening experience.
