Ultima BoomBox 130 Overview
Design and Build
Starting off, the Ultima BoomBox 130 has the typical party-speaker design, with a large front grille and built-in RGB lighting. It feels fairly sturdy for its price, and despite being a large speaker, it isn't much of a problem to carry around. There's a built-in handle on top, and Ultima also includes a shoulder strap in the box if you prefer to hang it while traveling.

The top of the speaker houses all the important controls, including playback buttons, EQ controls, microphone settings, lighting controls, and a large silver volume dial. Overall, the volume dial adds a nice touch to this speaker. Meanwhile, it also carries an IPX6 water-resistant rating, so it should handle light rain and occasional splashes during outdoor use.
Audio Quality
For audio, the Ultima BoomBox 130 delivers 120W of output, and loudness is definitely one of its strengths. In our experience, it was more than enough for small family gatherings, picnics, or outdoor sessions with around 10 to 15 people. We also noticed the bass was on the heavier side, giving the music a punchy feel—especially for modern tracks.

To get the best experience, we found the speaker sounded its best between 50% and 80% volume, where the balance of bass and vocals remained enjoyable. However, at maximum volume, the sound starts losing some clarity, and you can notice a bit of distortion. Additionally, there are three bass boost modes that let you choose a sound profile to suit your preferences.
Moreover, if one speaker isn't enough, Ultima has included TWS pairing, which lets you connect two BoomBox 130 speakers for wider stereo sound.
From this, we conclude that you shouldn't expect exceptional audiophile-level performance, since its vocal clarity, deep sub-bass, and high-volume performance are not the strongest points. So, this speaker is for those who look for parties, karaoke, casual music listening, and outdoor gatherings rather than critical music listening.
Karaoke Experience
Given the speaker's features, the karaoke feature is one of the Ultima BoomBox 130's highlights. Thankfully, a wireless UHF microphone connects automatically when powered on, so there's very little setup involved. We found the microphone is loud enough for singing, announcing, or even giving speeches during small gatherings.

On top of that, there's also a volume control directly on the microphone, which is a handy addition. And this microphone can be charged via USB-C, eliminating the need to carry an extra charging cable. However, the box includes only one wireless microphone, so if you want to sing duets—you'll need to buy an extra wired one.
Connectivity
Talking about the connectivity, Ultima has included plenty of connectivity options on the Ultima BoomBox 130. Besides Bluetooth, the speaker also has USB playback, TF card, AUX input, and microphone inputs for karaoke use. Here, all the ports are neatly placed behind a protective rubber cover, while the frequently used controls remain easily accessible on the top panel.

Battery and Others
In terms of battery, Ultima BoomBox 130 packs a 10,000mAh cell that takes roughly around 4 to 5 hours to fully charge. Though the recharge time looks quite long, it comfortably lasts around 7 to 8 hours on a single charge with mixed volume levels and RGB lighting enabled. But I should mention that if Ultima had provided the fast-charging option, the overall experience would have been better.

Undoubtedly, the RGB lighting adds a nice party vibe and offers multiple lighting effects that can be changed using the dedicated button.
